Practical and Legal Realities of Armed Self Defense

The series disclaimer text goes here.

Indy Arms Practical and Legal Realities of Self-Defense is a 4 hour, classroom-only course that explores several of the critical issues confronting anyone who finds him or herself required to use force – especially deadly force – in self-defense. We will address:

  • The Basic Legal Principles governing the Use-of-Force in Self-Defense
  • The Psychological, Perceptual and Physiological challenges of a Self-Defense situation
  • Safely handling the response of Law Enforcement
  • Preparing for a range of responses from the Criminal and Civil Justice Systems
  • Dealing with the response of the Media and Public

In each of these areas we will try to address the myths, misinformation, and misunderstandings that have become commonplace in discussions of armed self-defense situations.

The course is designed to allow time for questions and exploring the topics.

The class is taught by Indy Arms’ Chief Instructor, Tony Gregory, who is a 30-year veteran police officer, current police Captain, academy instructor, and expert witness/consultant in civilian and police use-of-force cases.

A detailed course handout will be provided.

Prerequisites:  None.  Students will receive an Indy Arms/Tactical Training Associates certificate of attendance upon completion of the course.
